This individual will serve as a key member of the accounting team, helping maintain accurate financial records, manage accounting processes, and support day-to-day business operations. Job Description
The Remote Bookkeeper will provide administrative and accounting support to the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient execution of accounting functions. This role requires exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the accounting team with daily bookkeeping and financial administration activities
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial transactions
Assist with invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections efforts
Organize and manage financial documentation and records
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Monitor project-related expenses and assist with job cost tracking
Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets as requested by leadership
Coordinate and help manage accounting-related projects and initiatives
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices
Communicate professionally with internal teams, vendors, and customers

Required Skills & Experience
1+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
Experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Previous experience in the construction, masonry, or contractor industry
Knowledge of job costing, project accounting, or construction accounting practices
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
