Job summary:
As a Data Entry Technician, you will play an essential role in empowering our customers to take their medications correctly and achieve better overall wellness. Our pharmacy features a casual dress code in a non-retail facing environment. An active in-state pharmacy technician license in the state of the posting is required to be considered. This is a work from home position
Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities:
â— Assist the pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy
â— Enter patient and order information into the pharmacy system
â— Provide quality customer service to co workers
â— Collect, organize, and evaluate of patient information
◠Receive prescriptions sent electronically from doctors’ offices
â— Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that the information is complete and accurate
â— Establish and maintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients
â— Process new and refill prescriptions
â— Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions, including refill authorization from doctor offices where permitted by state law
â— Communicate with patients by telephone and takes refill requests from patients
â— Transfers calls from providers to the pharmacist when necessary
â— Perform other tasks assigned while working in a fast paced environment
â— Work a flexible schedule – shifts will possibly start and end outside of normal business hours including weekends

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
â— Active and unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy License or ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License through the State Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of start date (Reimbursement assistance provided)
â— High school or equivalent diploma
â— Willingness to become Nationally Certified within 1 year of start date – Amazon Pharmacy reimbursement assistance provided
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
â— National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)
â— Experience recognizing and identifying patient medications
â— Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
â— Strong organization skills and attention to detail
â— 6+ months of experience working with computer and web based tools
