Sentara Patient Accounting is hiring a full time, day shift position, Charge Capture Specialist. This is a Remote status position.
Responsible for complete, compliant, and timely daily charge capture of chargeable medication administration, bedside services and other lines of service as assigned. This position is responsible for ensuring all appropriate billing charges are being captured, documented, charged, and reimbursed for the assigned department.
As necessary, queries and/or submits request to the physician for additional information or clarification of procedures. Assures charging practices fall within established compliance guidelines. Performs other related duties as requested by Revenue Integrity management.
This role requires an understanding of medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS guidelines and Medicare regulatory guidelines.
One of the following certifications required: CPC, COC, CCA, or CCS.

For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied:
$21.41- $29.57 per hour.
